A collection of assets created by me as part of the Biome team for 'Carrion', a map that is playable as part of the initial 'First Strike' launch event for EVE Vanguard.
With two trips to Iceland, our small Environment Art team captured well over 200 unique scans of rocks, ridges and ground pieces using Photogrammetry. We created an array of open and closed assets depending on their use case within the map.
A hybrid kitbash workflow of our scans in Zbrush was also used in creating rock assets that required a certain shape for design and gameplay purposes. This consisted of the boolean function inside Zbrush, using scans from our library as well as some good old fashioned sculpting for clean up and detailing. As we made the switch to Unreal Engine 5 mid production, all biome content was updated and further produced to use Nanite.
